Current and Recent Projects
Coaching We are currently working with 3 major organisations on a senior management coaching. Theses companies have staff throughout Europe. Individuals with whom we are engaged are well rewarded but required to contribute at high levels with strategic projects. Starting with a 360 diagnostic tool, we support individuals in identify where their key strengths lay, how to capitalise upon these to the maximum and where there are areas for development that could make a significant difference to their performance. Co developing plans, we support then throughout the journey.
Babcock Engineering Babcock Engineering took over the operation of the Rosyth naval Dockyard in the 1990's. It was a bold move in that the yard had a highly established culture set in place through decades of custom and practice. At its height the yard employed over 12000 people. However Rosyth needed to change. Building ships for the Ministry of Defence was no longer a guaranteed future. The yard needed to become a commercial entity and move away from cost plus contracts.
Over the last 6 years, TBL has helped the management at Rosyth in the following ways:
- Facilitating workshops with employees at various levels in the organisation map out the current state of the business and identify the ke change themes to deliver a successful future
- Designed and run the Evolve programme; this is a programme designed to build more leadership capability within the organisation - particularly within middle management
- Over 80 personnel have been through the 6 month programme to date
- Facilitated strategy sessions with the senior management team
- Conducted top team coaching sessions
Today the yard employs less than 3000 people but this is set to increase rapidly with the onset of some major contracts. The business is more diverse, flexible and capable than it was previously.
An independent review of the Evolve programme identified that it had had returned significant benefits to the business. The quantifiable aspects to this were estimated at £2 million.
Teambuilding This summer sees us start the first of a series of programmes for the power sector. We are assisting in the development of High Performance Teams, working in a critical environment. Programmes will include both business issues and experiential learning.
ACA Sports ACA Sports is one of the fastest growing businesses in Fife. Its turnover is increasing by 40% year on year. TBL has helped the leadership team identify strategic actions, define roles and manage actions.
